THE MAC STORE IN SYDNEY OPENNED TODAY!!!
Matt, Kim and I went to the grand opening together! WOOW it was SO MUCH FUN!! heehee! We got there around 4 and were really surprised because we didn't see that BIG of a line.. Coz the STORE you see opened at 5pm soooo we figured we should get there early to line up and GET INSIDe!!!!!!! So we went to were we thought the back of the line was and asked the SECURITY people if we could join it, and they told us that it was actually down the street around the corner and keep walking til we get to the REAL BACK of the line! HAHA so we walked down, turned a corner, crossed some streets and finaally got the end!!! We were like.. NOOOO its so much longer than we had THOUGHT NOOOOOO!!
BUT hey waiting in the line went by really fast, since Kim and I were in EXAM period still, we actually brought notes to study! LOL!! BUt hardly got any study done because there were CAMERAS everywhere like PAPARAZZI and tv CREWS and then the MAC STAFF RUNNINg out and GIVING people HIGH 5s, then getting random FREEBIES like EAR phone decorators and FREE NUDIES and COFFEE!! BUtt NoOOOO Kim, MATT and I didn't get a free NUDIE!! We were so SAD!!!!!!
THEN when we finally got in the stall, which was STACKS of FUN people cheering as we walked in and HANDED a FREE MAC T-SHIRT!! YAAAAY!!!!!!!! BUT booo if we were out in a line a bit longer when it started to RAIN we woulda got free UMBRELLAS too!! haha we all wanted one and tried to get some but couldn't BOOO!!
THEN we just went crazy going from MACBOOK, to PROs, TO IMACS everywhere and took photos PHOTOBOOTH and EMAILED it to ourselves.. WE ALSO went to the MAC GENIUS bar, where there are these MAC EXPERTS who are spose to be able to answer anything and everything you ask them about MACS!! SO we went to test their knowledge and asked THEM HEAPS AND HEAPS OF STUFF HEEHEE SO FUN!!!

sometimes passing comments or actions re-open old wounds. don't know why. its a bummer because sometimes it even colours the present (which is a BLESSING and awesome) grey. Can even make the most happiest places seem awkard
But possibly it is those sad times that make us want to try even harder. Those past hurts that make you more patient and sensitive to the feelings of other.. Which makes the things that are WORTH it really all the more important! BUt then again, in some cases it could totally make people go in the 100% opposite direction... LOL you never know.
although, at the same time, yes things can hurt. YES being different, believing in ONE GOD and trying to live in a way that HONOURS HIM and bringing glory to him is hard. hard because we see suffering in the world, we see people starving and hurting. HARD because other people CUT YOU DOWN for being who you are. Even though you seem to be tested everywhere you turn. OR HAPPY exciting things suddenly seem pale and fake. There is no where else I'd rather go, when Jesus has the words to eternal life. When in HIM there is life and love and truth and meaning. sometimes everywhere, even the happiest places can seem unwelcoming and alien. BUT thats okay. BECAUSE this world isn't how things are meant to be. And this place isn't HOME. HEAVEN is my home. ANd JESUS is my purpose, saviour, KING and Brother
YOu know... its a bummer that UNI has CUT 2 weeks in our semesters.. especially when we pay the SAME AMOUNT as usual.. So we pay the same but get less teaching.. KINDA makes you wonder whether the quality will be as good.. NoOoOOO...
ANYWAY!!!! We have FINALLY REACH THE YEAR i've been looking forward to but also, slightly.. just a LITTLE BIT.. dreading as well.. THE YEAR OF the 21sts..WHERE everyone I know my age will be getting old hahaa and consequently meaning being low in money from buying presents LOL!! BUT THATS OKAY!!!!!!!! SEEING friends AGAIN is what makes it worth it!! AND IT also MEANS GREAT PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES TOO!! and YEH just hanging out and having FUN! GOOOD TimeS! | | |
| HMM.... it has been frustrating because all 3 group work activities I was involved in this semester HAVE FAILED miserably, and has left me in despairing moments of doing everything myself..
But..
It doesn't mean I don't like the PEOPLE in those groups. I STILL think they are nice people. And hanging out with them is heaps of fun... sigh Tho I just feel a tad taken advantaged of sometimes... However it doesn't mean I wont meet up with them next semester and catch up over coffee or something.
LOL i mean, I don't think there is ANYONE out there who enjoys staying up til 3am every night to do other people's work.
Or feeling gutted because the prospects of failing AGAIN after you promised yourself you won't let that happen.. But that it might, not because you were lazy and didn't try like last time is....
HAHA but even though I get bags, and bad grades, lol and stress.. ITs the group work I dislike.. BUT NOT THE PEOPLE. Lol, heck, I even met up with one of them who loafed a lot and had a D&M with her and prayed with her the other day although she's not Christian..!! PRAISE GOD FOR SUCH OPPORTUNITIES!!

| GROUP WORK IS THE WORSE THING IN THE WOLRD!
This is my 3rd year at uni and never before have I experienced SUCH BAAAAADD groups...
For example! FROM real life that is!
This group work has 15% on presentation and class activities and class report portfolio handout, powerpoint!
then another 10% on a report summarising the information.
SO I didn't want to burden my group mates.. SO i did the 15% myself.. ANd let them work together on the REPORT!! ANd YAAAY praise GOD!!! Tho I WAS so busy and tired HE helped me in getting the full 15% PRAISE GOD! But then for the report.. I never saw it til today after we got it back and we got 2%... WHATT? .. IT really was terrible.. such easy marks I really should of have just done it myself
MY next group report includes 5 parts each part about 1000 words.. Ive finished my research and my part, but my group hasn't done anything... PLUS.. I ended up doing the presentation for the whole GROUP myself.. because.. I guess English isn't there natural language... (WOW Im really mean right now) SOo.. I guess I'll be doing the other 4 parts myself..
But oh well.. SUCH is UNI life.. And despite how bad of a situation it is considering I have 2 days to put it all together not including the other assessments in between.. I KNOW and TRUST that GOD will get me through..
ITs a bit shattering tho, my hopes of getting Distinction average now will be impossible! HAHAA
However.. even with a bad group! I LIKE the people! And talking to them about Christian issues has been exciting especially as they aren't Christian. And Im really just seeing this is a trial that GOD has given me to teach me to be patient and graceful, merciful and to endure things that aren't fair, hurtful and tiring.. Even tho I guess in a sense.. I am being taken advantaged of, and left to do all the work.. BUT hey.. THATS WHAT HAPPENS AT UNI!..
i wonder why they even ASSESS us individually based on GROUP WORK marks... boo..
